Description
Poolife Filter Cleaner is an acidic solution designed to break down oil, grease, dirt and soap that accumulates on your cartridge filter.
Simply soak your filter in this solution and hose off.

Directions
Cartridges and Removable D.E. Elements
- Remove elements and rinse thoroughly with clean water.
- Mix 1 quart of Poolife Filter Cleaner with 2 gallons of warm water in a large plastic container. Prepare enough solution to fully cover the filter.
- For heavily soiled cartridges, use 2 quarts per 2 gallons of water.
- Soak overnight (approximately 12 hours). Lightly soiled elements may soak for as little as 4 hours.
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water and reinstall.
- If storing, allow elements to dry completely before reinstalling.
Backwashing Instructions
- Turn off pump and set valves to backwash position.
- Start backwashing according to manufacturer instructions.

Slowly add Poolife Filter Cleaner to the skimmer during backwashing:
1 quart for sand filters up to 2 feet in diameter or D.E. filters up to 1 foot in diameter.
2 quarts for larger filters. - Backwash until water runs clear and no foam is visible, then return filter to normal operation.
Backwash + Soak Method
- Backwash for up to 1 minute and leave valve in backwash position.

Fill the filter tank with cleaning solution:
Prepare solution as above and feed through the pump strainer (requires about 7–20 gallons of water), or add directly to the filter tank or through the skimmer.

Use:
2 quarts for sand filters up to 2 feet in diameter or D.E. filters up to 1 foot in diameter.
4 quarts for larger filters. - Allow the filter to soak several hours (about 12 hours) or overnight.
- Next day, backwash until water is clear and foam-free, then return to normal operation.
