Planning a pool party

It’s pool party time! With warm temperatures and sunny days ahead, hanging out in your recently opened pool is perfect. However, instead of chilling in your pool alone, you can get your family and friends to join in the fun! But, there are a lot of steps to prepare for a pool party. To celebrate the Summer properly, Sunny’s is going to give you some tips in planning a pool party!

Preparing Your Pool

Before your guests start diving into your pool, you need to make sure the pool is ready. That means checking your water to make sure all the chemicals are safe and balanced. You should remove all the debris in and around the pool with a pool skimmer or automatic cleaner. This includes setting up the area around the pool. This can help clean any tripping hazards which could cause injuries and access getting in/out of the pool.

Keep Safepool ladders and rails

Like it or not, swimming pools can be dangerous, especially for kids (and adults having too much fun!). That is why you need safety measures in place for your party. This includes having a trusted adult watching over the children in the pool and people being careful of their surroundings. Depending on the UV index and weather, you should prepare shaded areas to reduce sun exposure as well.  Advise all guest to wear sunscreen (we’ll assume the children will be),  while outside as well. In addition, you may want to have it on tables or seating areas. Finally, in addition to keeping the area clean, having a sturdy ladder and railings into and out of the pool is essential.

Set-Up Activities

Once the party gets started, you need to make sure your guests have a good time. Have some fun pool toys that people can use like floats and water guns. You might also want some games like horseshoes and cornhole setup for when they need a break from the pool. However, the best pool party planning comes down to inviting great company! Set up a place to sit down and make time to chat with your family and friends. The most important part of hosting a pool party is to have fun yourself!
