The Michigan Renaissance Festival has become an annual event for the past 40 years. Each year the festival welcomes visitors from all over the globe. The Renaissance Festival is located at 12600 Dixie Highway, Holly MI 48442. The festival runs until September 27th. Also, it opens on weekends from 10 am until closing at 7 pm.
This is a fun-filled outdoor event for the whole family. Everything there is based on the 16th century living in an English village. Even most visitors dress from the time period coming as wenches, noblemen, peasants, pirates, Vikings and anything else you can think of.
While visiting the Renaissance Festival you can visit one of the many local shops there. They sell items such as swords, clothing, candles, spices, and much more. In addition to the shopping, you can eat some authentic foods such as turkey legs, Scottish Eggs, giant pickles and much more. Entertainment and shows are also available. You can watch stage acts or a might jousting bout. Also, each weekend has its own theme.
Some examples of the themes are Pirates and Pets weekend, Highland Games, and Vikings. Furthermore, if you are looking for a very unique experience, book your wedding at the festival! It can be the ultimate themed wedding!
