To use a test strip is rather simple. Remove the strip from the packaging. Then place the strip in the water for 5 seconds. Remove the pad face up and don’t shake off the excess water. Then you wait 15 seconds and compare the color chart. The color charts will vary depending on what you are testing for. Depending on the strip you buy you can test your water for a variety of things. Testing at home with a strip is generally an okay way to test. But for the most accurate testing, you should always bring a sample of your pool water to the store.
